Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 11/26/2025
1. Service Agreement
By booking, scheduling, or purchasing services from Knockout Mosquito and Tick Control (“we,” “our,” “us”), the Customer (“you,” “your”) agrees to these Terms and Conditions. These terms outline service scope, customer responsibilities, scheduling, payments, limitations, guarantees, and liability.
2. Scope of Services
- We provide outdoor mosquito, tick, and pest reduction services using EPA-registered products and, upon request, select 25B all-natural treatments.
- Services aim to reduce pest populations, not eliminate them completely.
- Effectiveness may vary due to weather, property conditions, and Customer compliance.
- Some pests are not included under standard services unless specified in writing.
3. Scheduling & Property Access
- Customer must provide safe, unobstructed access to all treatment areas.
- If access is blocked (locked gates, loose pets, construction, etc.), the appointment may be rescheduled at our discretion.
- A trip fee or service upcharge may be applied if our technician cannot perform the treatment.
- Missed or inaccessible appointments may be billed in full.
4. Payment Terms
- Payment is due upon completion of each service unless otherwise stated in writing.
- All outstanding balances must be paid before any retreat or re-spray can be performed.
- If services are canceled immediately after receiving a complimentary retreat, that retreat will be billed at the standard rate.
- Late payments may result in service suspension and/or late fees.
- Accepted payment methods: Credit Card, Check, Cash, Zelle, Stripe, and PayPal.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Follow all pre- and post-service instructions.
- Maintain property conditions that support treatment effectiveness (trim grass, clear debris, reduce shade, eliminate standing water).
- Inform us of children, pets, gardens, ponds, or sensitive landscaping before treatment.
- Secure all pets before the technician arrives.
- Ensure people and pets remain out of treated areas until dry (usually 30 minutes).
6. Service Limitations
- Extreme weather may impact treatment performance.
- Untreated neighboring properties may reintroduce pests.
- Poor property conditions (overgrowth, shade, standing water, debris) reduce effectiveness.
- New pest introduction from outside sources is not covered under any guarantee.
7. Weather Policy
- Treatments completed shortly before or after light rain are considered valid unless washing-off is confirmed by the technician.
- Free re-treats are issued only if weather prevents product adherence, at our discretion.
8. Guarantee & Retreat Policy
One-Time Services
- No guarantee is provided for one-time services.
- Reduction in pest activity is expected; full elimination is not guaranteed.
- Breaking the mosquito breeding cycle typically requires 2–3 consecutive treatments spaced 14–21 days apart.
Season Pass Services
- If pests return within 7–14 days, we will re-treat affected areas at no cost, provided Customer responsibilities were met.
- Guarantees may vary by service type and will be provided in writing.
Guarantee Exclusions
- Customer fails to follow technician recommendations.
- Property conditions prevent effective treatment.
- Customer skips required treatments necessary to break pest life cycles.
9. Cancellations, Refunds & Fees
- At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule any service.
- Recurring service plans must be canceled by emailing Info@KnockoutMosquitoNJ.com.
- Unrelated call-backs (such as standing water or overgrown property conditions) are billed at $99 per visit.
- Refunds are only issued for services not performed and remain at our discretion.
- Approved refunds on unused balances incur a 3% processing fee.
- No refunds are issued once a treatment has been applied, regardless of results.
10. Chargeback Policy
- Customer agrees not to file a false or fraudulent chargeback for services already performed.
- All disputes must be handled directly with us before any chargeback is submitted.
- Fraudulent chargebacks will be contested using documentation such as photos, invoices, and technician reports.
11. Liability
- We carry general liability insurance for our work.
- We are not responsible for damage due to pre-existing conditions, hidden hazards, or failure to follow instructions.
- Customer must inform us of any special concerns before treatment.
12. Safety & Compliance
- All treatments are performed by trained, licensed, and insured technicians following federal, state, and local regulations.
- Customer must keep people and pets away from treated areas until dry.
13. Changes to Terms
These Terms & Conditions may be updated at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website or provided upon request.
